Shawn Uyosa is a Nigerian born Irish comedian who has been performing stand up comedy since he was 17 years old and has since performed in England and all over Ireland including Dublin, Galway and Cork.
Shawn was selected to be in the regional showcase for the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2021 and 2022 and was a Leinster finalist in a comedy competition for RTE called Stand up and be Funny.
Shawn won “Ireland’s Best New Act” competition at the Bray Comedy Festival in 2020 and The Comedy Cavern’s “Cork Comedian Of The Year” competition in 2023. Shawn was booked to perform at The PaddyPower Comedy Festival in 2023 featuring Tommy Tiernan and Dara O Briain. Shawn has been on the radio for RTE Radio and on Red Fm in Cork. Shawn is also featuring on a series of sketches for the RTE Player called “Office Girl” as the character “Barry.”
