Paddy Bramwells

"Bramwells is superlative" - The Guardian

Many years ago, Paddy started his performing life as a street performer. Quite soon, at Street Festivals all around the world, people began to notice that he could talk almost any audience (no matter how lethargic) into happy submission without seeming to use any material whatsoever, some times without even making any sense. Soon he was invited to compere (MC) at group shows, cabarets, festival stages (including resident host on the Outside Circus Stage at Glastonbury since 1987), theatre shows, conventions, corporate events and (bizarrely) weddings. Living in London with it’s huge comedy circuit, it seemed only natural to make the move indoors (where it tends to rain less) and since the late 90’s Bramwells has been writing and developing his skills as a stand up comedian. He was a finalist in the BBC New Acts Final 2000 at the Edinburgh Festival and now performs and comperes all over the country and as far afield as Holland, Germany and the Middle East. Clubs he has performed at include; The Comedy Store, Lee Hurst’s Backyard Comedy Club, ED Comedy, Downstairs at The Kings Head, Comedy Cafe, Jongleurs, Soho Ho, Ealing Broadway Comedy Club, Mirth Control, Frog & Bucket, Banana Cabaret, Ha Bloody Ha, Purple Monkey, etc He really is very funny.
