Otter Lee

Otter Lee is an actor, playwright, comedian, and voiceover artist born and raised in New York City. In January of 2020, Otter co-produced, hosted, and took the stage for NYC’s First Asian Comedy Festival at the PIT, selling out multiple blocks and empowering numerous comedians and groups. Since 2019, his Asian sketch team Overstep has dazzled full houses at the Striker main stage. His sketch, standup, and improv have appeared at such venues as the Upright Citizens Brigade, Face-Off Unlimited, Caveat, Union Hall, The Magnet, The Asian American Writer’s Workshop, and Buzzfeed. He’s also worked as one of the organizers of The Diverse As **** Festival since 2016. After graduating from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Otter trained in the disciplines of classical and musical theatre, improv, and voice acting. Otter’s theatre credits include Shakespeare plays MacbethA Midsummer Night’s Dream, and As You Like It. In 2016, his original play Frying the Coop, a romantic comedy about one woman’s love affair with fried chicken (played by Otter), won Manhattan Repertory’s Summer One Act Competition. Throughout 2019 and 2020, Otter’s projects were written up in The New York TimesTime Out New York, and AsianCrush.
