"Intensely Funny...Fireball of Fun" - Timeout

Throughout 2015 you’ll hear Jess regularly host the BBC Radio 4 Extra show ‘The Comedy Club’. As an actor, Jess starred in this summer’s acclaimed new BBC2 comedy ‘The Javone Prince Show’. She’s also currently writing on the ITV Jason Manford flagship show ‘It’s a Funny Old Week’, as well as for specific comedians for Channel 4’s ‘8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown’

Jess does stand up almost every night of the week from Streatham to Switzerland. Her fourth show, ‘IMAGINARY COLIN’ was a packed-out success at Edinburgh 2015, where Jess was a regular in the late night shows Joke Thieves and This Is Your Trial. These are both being developed for tours and television.

She has a weekly food column in the brilliant new e-magazine Standard Issue and has also become a regular features writer for the Huffington Post.

Jess has done voice overs recently from Virgin Media TV campaigns to Sky Living documentaries. She enjoyed 18 months in the main cast of 5* sell out KNIGHTMARE LIVE which toured the UK, ending at the Lyric in the West End in November 2014. Jess spends the year standing up at all the UK’s major clubs: Up The Creek, The Stand, Komedia, Manfords, Banana Cabaret, The Bearcat and Downstairs at the Kings Head, as well as squillions of others.

Her previous writing credits include BBC’s Mock The Week, Channel 4’s Stand Up For the Week and on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show, News Quiz and Newsjack, Jess is developing various scripts and is happily busy writing for herself as well as for various other comedians.

In 2013 Jess’s 3rd show, MOVING got a raft of 4* reviews. She also starred in the award-winning Danielle Ward’s farce Happy Endings at the Pleasance.

In 2012 Jess received rave reviews (5*) from national press with her second show BRAVE NEW WORD. See the press and reviews page for more. She followed it up with a London run at the St James Theatre. She performed on Stephen K Amos’ new BBC Radio 4 show , she’s appeared on BBC Breakfast (BBC1) four times and she has supported Micky Flanagan and Terry Alderton on tour across the UK.

In 2011 Jess took her debut hour to Edinburgh’s Gilded Balloon, LUXURY TRAMP which sold out, got in The Independent Top Ten Edinburgh Newcomers 2011 the Amused Moose Laughter Awards Top Ten.
